Family Newsletter | January 22, 2025 HES Homepage | 23-24 School Calendar | AlphaBEST | Who Do I Contact? I Menus I Get to Know Us
Dear HES Families,
Last Friday we had our January school meeting. We focused on the idea that communities learn and have fun together. We got to know three adults from our school community -- Mrs. Wicks (grade 4 teacher), Mr. Missett (grade 3 teacher), and Mr. Paul (custodian), and then had fun with a winter trivia game. Did you know that bears can survive more than 100 days without food while hibernating? After a our movement break, we previewed the upcoming HES SOUPer Bowl. During the week of February 3-7 , we will collect cans of soup to donate to a local food pantry. Students can earn points for their favorite Super Bowl team by donating cans and doing acts of kindness. |

The Fifth Annual PTO Readathon is almost here! The Readathon promotes a love of reading and provides a fun activity during February break. It also serves as an optional fundraiser to increase the PTO’s ability to grant funds to the Harvard schools. Click HERE to learn more. Happy reading!
With snow banks on the edges of our parking lot, the busses are having a hard time navigating the right turn out of our parking lot. If you are in the car line, please do not idle on the striped area near the top of the drop off line. The busses need that space to safely turn.
Have a great week!
