Dear HES Families,
The last two weeks have been full of exciting events, and lots of fun and learning. We had the Arts Show, Field Day, and Spirit Week! Thank you to Mrs. Owens, Mr. Hecox and Mrs. Q for all their work with students to prepare them to share their creativity and talent at the Arts Show. Thank you to Mr. Woodworth for his hard work to set up and run an epic field day. And of course, thank you to the PTO and all the parent volunteers who helped us make these events a success.
We ended field day last Friday with our May School Meeting. We highlighted all the ways that students demonstrated the values we have been learning this year during field day. We also acknowledged four teachers who are retiring at the end of this school year: Mrs. Ambrosino, Ms. Lyvers, Mrs. Q, and Mrs. Hart.
Last week, our second graders went on a field trip to the Ecotarium in Worcester. They explored the exhibits and participated in a workshop about animal adaptations. Thank you the Harvard Schools Trust for making this fun learning experience possible!

Have a great week!
Rebecca and Hilary Dr. Rebecca Katsh-Singer, Principal
Mrs. Hilary Sturgis, Assistant Principal

Help protect Harvard’s Wood Turtles, which are listed as a Species of Special Concern. If you spot one, take a clear photo from a distance and report it through MassWildlife’s Heritage Hub. Your sightings help biologists track populations and protect local habitat. Fun fact: Wood Turtles gently stomp their feet to mimic rain, tricking earthworms into coming to the surface. Please remember: it’s illegal to possess a Wood Turtle, so admire and let it continue on its way.
Registration for Monty Tech's 2026 Summer Camp is now live! We have streamlined the registration process so families will complete the registration, payment and medical form all online at one time. Click HERE to learn more and register.
