November 17 was World Kindness day and the Kindness Wall we started near the cafeteria continues to grow!

This month's Counselor's Corner is also focused on kindness. Here are some tips from our wonderful school counselors, Anna Morris and Emily Fournier:

School Announcements
Nurse Amanda will be back on Monday! In the meantime, please feel free to call our sub nurses in the health office or contact the main office with any questions.

Dear Harvard Public Schools Community,
Thank you for your continued support of our Project 351 Club over the years.
As many of you may know, our annual fall food drive on behalf of Loaves and Fishes ends this Friday, December 12, at noon. This year, our goal is to collect 2,000 pounds of food. Please donate food or personal care items on Thursday or Friday of this week. Collection boxes can be found at Bromfield, HES, and the Harvard Public Library.
According to Feeding America, 1 in 8 children face hunger in Massachusetts. In the United States, one in three adults in households with children aged newborn through seventeen reported food insecurity in 2024. Donations to food pantries such as Loaves and Fishes offset hunger. By donating, you are helping your neighbors, friends, or strangers. Your donations serve the people in our immediate community, and the food ensures that those in need get proper nutrition.
All donations go directly to Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry, and one of their slogans is that Food = Hope, which we got to hear about at our assembly last week at Bromfield. Every donation is more than just a meal. It’s a chance to show support for members in our community and provide an opportunity for hope. Food can bring people together at holidays, gatherings, or dinners. Food is physically and emotionally essential.
Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Please donate.
Many littles add up to a lot and anything you are able to give will help friends and neighbors have warm, nutritious meals this winter.
Thank you,
Project 351

Celebrations Around the World Exhibit Arm in Arm, in partnership with the Children’s Room in the Harvard Public Library, present the Celebrations Around the World exhibit. Every month from October through May, a holiday celebration from various parts of the world will be honored in the display case located between the holiday books in the Children’s Room. Exhibits will include information and artifacts highlighting cultural decor, apparel, food, and other items significant to the celebration. Community members are encouraged to participate in the exhibit by loaning the library personal items to be used in the display, perusing the various books about the celebration curated by the HPL, and enjoying a grab-n-go craft/activity provided by Arm in Arm. Want your Cultural Celebration on display? Have something to loan the HPL in support of a scheduled display? Please see Children’s Librarian or contact Arm in Arm at arminarm.townofharvard@gmail.com
