Family Newsletter | February 26, 2025 HES Homepage | 23-24 School Calendar | AlphaBEST | Who Do I Contact? I Menus I Get to Know Us
Dear HES Families,
Before February break we held our monthly school meeting. We recapped the SOUPer Bowl and let students know that we donated 370 pounds of food to Loaves and Fishes! Below are pictures of fifth grade Safety Patrol members unloading the food at Loaves and Fishes.
Our School Meeting also included a new "get to know you" video featuring fifth grade teacher Mr. Cullinane, building aide Ms. McGinty, and third grade teacher Ms. Hagan. This was followed by second graders doing an amazing job reading the book 10 Things I Love About School and sharing why they love our school community.

In addition to helping others through the SOUPer Bowl, our students also participated in the Valentines for Veterans program sponsored by Mix 104.1. Students made over 200 Valentines, many of which were donated to the VA in Brockton on Valentine's Day. Our school got a shout out from Karson and Kennedy on their morning show, where they shared how much our efforts impacted the veterans who received the cards. A huge thank you to Ms. Copeland for organizing this opportunity for our students to help others.

Every year, each public school and school district in Massachusetts receives a report card. Just as your child’s report card shows how they are doing in different subjects, the school’s report card is designed to show families how our school is doing in different areas. Click HERE to read a letter explaining more about our report card and links to the report card and other resources.
Have a great week!
