Meeting Highlights:

Tegan Allen, Student Representative, shared that winter sports have started and that a lot of grades recently did bake sales at the parent teacher conferences. She also shared that the middle school concert took place last week and the high school concert will be this week. The painting of the senior parking spots has been postponed temporarily due to weather.
Dr. Linda Dwight shared a school lunch video that was put together by Ms. Cynthia Fontaine and her Media Production class. Dr. Dwight noted that there was some confusion last year about what qualifies as a free lunch and when students are charged for other lunch items. The hope is that this video will make the process of buying school lunch easier to understand.

Other noteworthy agenda items:

Kim Murphy, TBHS Principal, addressed the School Committee in regards to the changes she is proposing to the high school graduation requirements. She explained the MassCore recommendations and her plan to update the TBHS graduation requirements to match what is being outlined by MassCore.
Dr. Dwight shared her superintendent update.
Dana Labb, Assistant Superintendent, shared his update as well.

Future meeting dates and agenda items:

The next School Committee meeting is scheduled for January 13th and agenda items will include a vote on the high school graduation requirements, budget updates, and a presentation on an international field trip request.
